An Ohio University student was wounded in a stabbing Saturday morning.
Athens City Police and Athens County Emergency Medical Services were called to Courtside Pizza & Sports Bar, 85 N. Court St., at about 2 a.m. Saturday. They treated 22-year-old Michael R. Gallas for several stab wounds, according to an Athens Police Department news release.
Gallas was transported to O'Bleness Memorial Hospital.
The suspect is described as 5'10" with brown or blonde hair and wearing a white polo, and was last seen running on North Court Street toward West Carpenter Street, according to the release. Police did not find the suspect during a search of the area.
