In this week’s Throwback Thursday, we get a peek into a Student Governing Board meeting that was featured on the front page of The Post on Oct. 5, 1972. The original caption describes the scene: “During lull periods, members took time out to eye the Freshman Register, meet guests and chat informally with members. At one point, Mike McGraw noted, ‘Domino’s pizza is not recognized by the University.’” Although students these days would more likely be talking about Facebook and Avalanche, we’d like to think the great tradition of goofing off hasn’t changed much in the past four decades. This photo was credited to Post photographer Charlie Nye and was titled “Student Governing Bored.” Get it?
