Stumbleupon.com

With midterms in full swing, I've been searching for every possible way to procrastinate studying - but one can only play Farmville for so long. So in my dire need to distract myself, I've taken to Stumbleupon.com, a site that, according to its home page, helps you discover the best of the Web in less time. Just select as many or as few of the 24 categories as you want, like Humor, Music or Science, and begin stumbling through the most intriguing sites on the Internet tailored to your interests. Stumbleupon is such a good time-waster, it took me three hours to write this.

Amazon.com MP3 downloads

I was searching Amazon.com for textbooks earlier this quarter, but got distracted by the MP3 section. Not only can you find pretty much any song you're looking for, but many songs are still $0.99, and no tax is charged. Plus, Amazon has hundreds of MP3 albums that cost only $5 each. It's nice to know I can still buy the music I want without feeling like I'm draining my bank account.

Lost, 9 p.m. Tuesdays on ABC

The hit show kicks off its final season Tuesday, so start preparing for the inevitable explosion of overly analytical discussion among its fanatics. To make matters even worse (or better), the script for the season premiere is so complicated that even the actors had problems understanding it. To quickly recap, last season ended with a white flash as Juliet used a rock to try to detonate the bomb that needed to blow up so Oceanic flight 815 would never crash. Additionally, viewers learned that John Locke isn't really John Locke ... or something like that.
