Sibs Weekend tickets on sale this week

Thanks to the Black Student Cultural Programming Board, students and their sibs will not only be able to rock out with Big K.R.I.T, Dom Kennedy and the Ohio Takeover Tour — they will be able to save a few bucks as well.

Tickets for the Sibs Weekend Concert will be on sale for $10 each from 12–5 p.m. Thursday and Friday. The sale will not be offered online but will be available at the box office for the public. Students must use the promotional code BSCPB ROCKS to get the discounted price.

“We do this every year,” said Winsome Chunnu, the board’s advisor and the Multicultural Center’s associate director. “It’s just to promote the concert and make it more affordable for students and their sibs.”

In addition, BSCPB will also be hosting a listening party featuring the songs of each of the artists in the concert including: K.R.I.T., Kennedy, Stalley, LeX for the Uncool, and Lil Poetic Thursday Feb. 17, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the second floor of Baker Center. During the event, the board will be raffling off two free tickets.

“This is big,” Chunnu said. “You should get your tickets now.”

The concert will take place at 8 p.m. Saturday. The ticket special is not offered to those with previously purchased tickets. Purchased tickets will not be available for exchange or refund and is only available while supplies last. Tickets available at the discounted price include row L and up.
