The Athens City Board of Education members approved agreements with the district's internet service provider among other business at its meeting last night.
The board members unanimously accepted the agreements proposed in the Southeastern Ohio Voluntary Educational Cooperative concerned with providing Internet connections to the district. These include the basic service agreement and the student management service agreement.
In treasury business, district treasurer Matt Bunting made recommendations for the district's five-year budget forecast. The board unanimously approved the motion.
In the meeting's allotted time for academic spotlights, the president of the high school's recently implemented Future Farmers of America program updated the board on the organization's progress.
She said the 68 students enrolled in the program have studied forestry and soil sciences and are raising money for official uniforms.
