Consistency had plagued the Bobcats all season long.

Players, like Jenny Poff, had slumps when they were not able to make shots they normally would. In the two games before this four-game winning streak, Poff scored seven points and made zero 3-pointers.

The Bobcats also has troubles with turnovers, averaging 20 per game, which often disrupt inspired play or change the momentum.

Injuries add to their consistency problems.

With Chandra Myers and Thia Gholson going down midseason, the Bobcats had only one post player who played significant minutes.

Now, the lineup is missing point guard Jennifer Bushby, who is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.

Despite these changes, the team's chemistry seems to have strengthened over the past couple of weeks.

Players on the bench are beginning to relish other players' success. Every time a player hits a big 3-pointer or someone makes a hustle play, the Bobcat bench yells louder than the crowd.

Kamille Buckner actually credited the injuries in forcing the Bobcats to come together.

You've got to be able to play with everybody

Buckner said, because one game you may not have a person

so somebody else will have to step up.

This newfound team chemistry will be put to the test over the next two games.

Ohio plays the rest of the season away from home, where the Bobcats won the last four games. The road includes trips to Bowling Green, the Mid-American Conference leader, and the MAC tournament in Cleveland.

Lauren Hmiel said chemistry is needed in the next couple of weeks.

Having road games coming up

we're going to need each other
