After Monday's tragedy at Virginia Tech, I am shocked and appalled that anyone can suggest that the solution to gun violence is to give more people guns! Andrew Wargo seems to think that guns in the hands of the good guys will save lives and that the bad guy will stop simply because someone threatens them back. It is exactly this kind of kill-or-be-killed way of thinking that makes the United States the most violent developed nation in the world. We have much bigger problems as a culture if the only way to be safe is for everyone to possess deadly force. It is obvious that we as a society can't responsibly handle the freedom to bear arms. Expanding that freedom is certainly not the answer.
