Bobcats to play final home contest against Oregon Ducks

The Ohio women's lacrosse team will play its last home game of the season Saturday when they welcome the Oregon Ducks for the first ever meeting between the two squads.

The Bobcats (5-9 overall, 1-5 American Lacrosse Conference) are focused on finishing out the season strong to leave the seniors with the taste of victory.

We just want to play our best lacrosse of the season most importantly for our seniors so they can go out on the winning end

coach Kate Brew said. We also want to end our final home game on a positive note in front of the home crowd.

The Ducks (4-10, 1-4 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation), who will be ending their first season in the program's history, are gearing up for the MPSF tournament. Their youth gives Ohio a slight edge because Brew recruited some of the players for Ohio before they decided on Oregon.

This is the first year they have a program Brew said. I recruited and had some interest in some of their players so we know some of their players and what type of athletes they are.
