Your Turn: Gwinn worthy of prosecutor position

Post readers: Please vote for Susan Gwinn for Athens County prosecuting attorney. She has an impressive background for this office, with nearly 30 years of experience as a successful local lawyer.

Susan Gwinn and her family have deep roots in Athens County and Ohio. Gwinn is an honors graduate of Ohio University who received her law degree from the University of Toledo in 1979. She aided the founding of the OU Center for Student Advocacy. Gwinn encouraged OU students to vote on Election Day by helping install provisional voting at Baker University Center.

Susan Gwinn is an energetic career woman, dedicated to her legal vocation and the Democratic Party. She has the determination to do well, which she has demonstrated in over 10 years as local county party chairwoman, as well as longtime chair of the local Board of Elections. Gwinn has tirelessly promoted electronic voting machines protected by countable paper ballots. She recently put Athens County on the political map as president of the Ohio Democratic County Chairs Association during the 2006 election.

Over the years Susan Gwinn has benefited her party with fund-raising celebrations on her birthday, July 18th, at her beautiful home. The historic first American Woman's Rights convention opened in Seneca Falls, New York, on July 18th, 1848. Gwinn's recent campaign event at the Blue Gator honored the February 15th birthday of Susan B. Anthony.-
