Equality, diversity needed in our county

Ohio University is based on creating and accepting diversity among its students and staff. I think we need to try and bring that back to our whole college community, including the city of Athens. It does not matter if we are not permanent residents here; we are still members of this community. Pat Kelly is running for sheriff and will be sure to bring Athens County more equality for its community members and the sheriff department staff. There have been a few instances where the present sheriff has stripped away the equalities of his own employees, calling them inappropriate names because of their differences. We need to be proud of our college town and want the best for it. 2008 is constantly speaking of change for everyone, everywhere. I am confident Pat Kelly will be the man who can bring equality back to the unique and diverse culture of Athens that we all know and love. We need to give this county's members someone to trust and feel respected and protected by. He is committed to bringing Athens County security and equality. He has the past experience to ensure the Athens County members that he is the right man for the job. I have talked to him personally, and his plans for the county will surely make it a better place for the residents to live and play. We need someone who respects his employees inside and out. As a born and raised Athens county resident, I think Pat Kelly is the best fit for the position of Athens County Sheriff. He knows what his community needs and is determined to make the changes to make it the best it can be!
