There will be little time for the Ohio men's basketball team to celebrate its Mid-American Conference Tournament championship. Not with No. 25 Florida looming on the horizon.
The Bobcats are entering the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 11 years and are the MAC-
- but I am happy with the location. I'd rather be a 13 (seed) in Nashville than a 12 in Syracuse.
O'Shea also disagreed with the ideas of his team's match-up being a blowout in favor of the higher seed.
That's the beauty of the tournament -
not what some talking head on CBS or ESPN thinks. I don't care about them at all.
As the only team from the MAC, O'Shea was happy for his team's chance but also sent his condolences toward other MAC bubble teams that were left out.
My heart goes out to both Buffalo and Miami
he said. Even though I think we deserved a bit of a better seeding
I'm grateful that we get to represent the MAC.
The Bobcats however, are one reason why both of those teams didn't make the Big Dance. Ohio won five of the six meetings with those teams, including the two wins that knocked each of them out of the MAC Tournament.
Those wins and the rest of the Bobcats' path to success throughout their conference tournament will be detailed below.
First round game: No. 4 Ohio vs. No.13 Marshall -
he said. I have been in this position other times this year and I know how hard our guys play -
