Musicians bring music from TV to free Baker gig

Concertgoers will have a chance to place a face on a familiar voice at 8 p.m. tomorrow, when artists Griffin House and Landon Pigg make a stop at Ohio University's Baker University Center Theatre as part of an as heard on TV event. Admission is free.

Pigg, who just finished up a tour with Gavin DeGraw, has been featured on Grey's Anatomy and, most recently, on commercials for De Beers' A Diamond Is Forever ad campaign. His five-song Coffee Shop EP was released in February and features the single Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop. The 24-year-old Tennessee native has been compared to artists Teddy Geiger and The Fray, and cites Rufus Wainwright as one of his main influences.

Sharing the stage with Pigg will be Ohio-native Griffin House, whose song Waterfall was used in advertisements for Rembrandt Oral Health. According to his Web site, Griffin turned down a golf scholarship at OU to pursue his music career. He attended Miami University of Ohio instead, where he learned to play guitar and began writing songs for his first album. To date, he has released three full-length albums, most recently 2007's Flying Upside Down.
