I think The Post owes William Decatur, vice president for Finance and Administration, an apology. In the April 23 edition, Mr. Decatur is reported to have said that the reasons for sustained losses (in the Baker University Center operations) is not certain yet
but initial impressions point to the operation not making enough money. I assume this is a misrepresentation of his words. Or do I perhaps owe The Post reporter an apology? Did the Ohio University VP for Finance really say that spending more than you make could possibly cause a deficit? If this is indeed true, then I can finally understand the tone and urgency of all those end-of-the-month letters from my bank and credit card companies. I guess in order to have my income at least approximate my output, I will have to cut down on some expenses: No more lunches at Latitude 39!
