I just read Marine Marc Fencil's letter to the protesters (Soldiers face real 'die-in' daily in Iraq
April 8).
Maybe the college can fund a trip to Iraq for those protesters to look for improvised explosive devices (IEDs) that happened to kill two of my friends? Then they can replace their ignorant hatred of the military and this country with the gratitude they deserve. Anyone can blindly criticize, but being there could be enlightening to those who think they are enlightened. These poor souls do not realize that they have the freedom to criticize because of the soldiers who serve, fight and die for their freedom. I may not agree with some things this administration does, but a vast majority of what the president does -including taking on the insurgents -is right on track.
God Bless (sorry, that's not PC) Marc and all the other brave men and women who do something rather than complain.
SEMPER FI!
