Sports staffers choose their favorite moment from 2015

'The Post' sports staff breaks down some of their favorite moments in 2015.

The Post sports staff broke down its favorite moments from the 2015 year. Here's what some staffers said:

Luke O'Roark | Sports Editor

"I'm biased, but women's basketball advancing to the NCAA Tournament in March. Tempe, Arizona was beautiful, and Bob Boldon and company we're exciting to watch. From nine wins to 27, it was a treat to cover this team in 2015."

Tony Wolfe | Senior Writer

"Connor Sitz throwing a no-hitter to propel Ohio into the Mid-American Conference baseball Tournament final, one year after the worst season in program history. Nothing else beats that. Nothing comes close."

Jordan Horrobin | Staff Writer

"Covering the baseball team's NCAA tournament appearance in Champaign, Illinois. In my first year on the baseball beat, with the team coming off an 11-40 season, my expectations were low. But the players shocked me and many others on their way to Ohio's first conference title since 1997 (I was still in diapers). Following the team to Illinois allowed me to end the journey where it did and see both the anguish of losing and the triumph of making it there."

Nick Kairys | For The Post

"My favorite moment this year for OU sports was covering the volleyball team, as it won the MAC tournament and will head to Provo, Utah for the NCAA Tournament."

Peter Nakos | For The Post

"When OU beat Marshall in football, probably."

Clark Wicks | For The Post

"The football game against Miami. Most lopsided win against them in school history."

Jeremy Hahn | For The Post

"Dads Weekend Hockey. Great game against Drexel, won in the final minute-or-so by a clutch goal by the 'Cats."

Cameron Fields | For The Post

"I'm going to go with the field hockey team's three-game winning streak this fall. That was pretty cool to cover."

Ethan Felderstein | For The Post

"Ohio saved its best volleyball for the end of the 2015 season as its play in the Mid-American Conference tournament was purely dominant. The Bobcats avenged their disappointing loss to Western Michigan in the 2014 season, as they'll now try to make a run in the NCAA Tournament."

Andrew Gillis | For The Post

"The football team beating Marshall to move to 2-0. They weren't supposed to win the game and seeing the players sprint down the field to get to the Bell was a pretty special moment."
