Athens County FINAL RESULTS:
In the race for Ohio's 15 Congressional District, Pat Lang won Athens County with about 79 percent of the votes cast over Wharton's 20. Stivers garnered 83 percent to Chope's 16 in Athens County.
In the presidential primary, Rick Santorum won Athens County with about 34 percent. Mitt Romney followed with 32 percent, Ron Paul with 18 and Newt Gingrich 11.
In the contest for Athens County Engineer, Jeff Maiden defeated incumbent Stanley 83 percent to 17.
Christ Chmiel won the nomination for the third Athens County Commissioner seat with about 31 percent of the votes cast in the county. Paul "Smoke" Barrett followed closely behind with 29 percent, Mike O'Brien had 17.45 percent, incumbent Mark Sullivan finished with 17.10 percent and Robrt Baughman garnered about 5 percent.
Mace received 473 write-in votes, well over the requirement of 50 to appear on November's general election ballot.
Charlie Adkins won the other Democratic nomination for commissioner with 51 percent to Gary Edwards' 49.
