Lightner said. We were hoping by conference time that they'd all start to come together.
It seems Lightner is getting what he hoped for.
In the last three games, the Bobcats have kept the pressure off quarterback Theo Scott, refusing to let up a sack. This is the longest such streak during head coach Frank Solich's tenure at Ohio.
Along with the sackless streak, the Bobcats managed to get the rushing attack going against Bowling Green, gaining 216 yards.
It was very
very important for us offensive lineman David White said. It really helped the morale in the (offensive line) room within the group. Offensive line coach Keven Lightner knew his squad was going to be young this season.
But he also said this was one of the most talented groups he has coached.
We knew that we were going to be really good
Lightner said. We were hoping by conference time that they'd all start to come together.

The offensive line has had nine different starters, including two new ones last week: redshirt sophomores A.J. Strum and Joe Flading.
Strum, who started at left guard, said the older players and the coaches boosted his confidence going into and after the game.
They believed in me ever since I got the call to go in and start
he said. There's nothing better than having people behind you
believing in you. That just brings your spirit up.
Despite its recent success, the offensive line isn't getting too far ahead of itself.
We got to keep pushing
White said. We're not there yet. We're definitely going in the right direction.
The line will try to continue to improve this Saturday at Akron.
Defensively, the Zips have not pressured their opponents' quarterbacks too much this season. Akron has recorded only two sacks, which came in the first two games of the season.
But the Bobcats do not put a lot of faith into that statistic.
I don't think their win and loss record really shows how good they are
White said. Their defensive front seven is a pretty good unit
one of the better probably in the (Mid-American Conference).
Akron's main defensive threat is linebacker Brian Wagner, a redshirt freshman with 46 tackles, two interceptions and forced two fumbles.
Lightner said the team will not gameplan around him, but the linemen are going to keep an eye out for him.
When we get to the second level
