Athens Police and Ohio University Police remained busy this past weekend, responding to reports of a sexual imposition, two assaults and a broken bar window.
A female OU student reported to university police an unknown male groped her Thursday night.
The student reported the male grabbed her and pushed her toward Morton Hall at about 11:50 p.m. Thursday evening, according to an OU Campus Crime Alert.
She reported the male then grabbed her breasts and groin on the outside of her clothing, according to the alert.
The female fought back and the male fled the area, according to the alert.
She described the male as white, college-aged, approximately 6 feet tall and skinny with sandy brown hair. He was wearing a dark green T-shirt over a white shirt with khaki shorts, according to the alert.
The incident is still under investigation.
Also on Thursday, a female student reported to Athens Police officers her landlord assaulted her.
The student reported she confronted her landlord at about 5 p.m. Thursday because blinds were removed from her room, according to an Athens Police report.
She told police her landlord pushed her out of his office and smacked her in the cheek and eye with his right hand, according to the report.
Friday, Athens Police officers were called to Courtside Pizza and Sports Bar, 85 N. Court St., after a Cleveland man broke a window.
Jordan A. Virzi, 20, punched the door on his way out of the bar and broke the glass in it, according to an Athens Police report.
The damage is estimated at about $200, according to the report.
Virzi was charged with criminal damaging and endangering, as well as underage consumption. He was transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail, according to the report.
Early Saturday morning, two men reported to Athens Police officers they were assaulted at the intersection of South Court Street and West Union Street.
When police arrived on scene, the two men said they were assaulted at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning. They described the men who assaulted them as 5-foot-8-inch black men, according to an Athens Police report.
Both victims had visible injuries to their faces. One was transported to O’Bleness Memorial Hospital, according to the report.
The victims said the suspects took off toward Jeff Hill before officers arrived. Both Athens Police and Ohio University Police officers searched the scene but could not find the suspects, according to the report.
The case is still under investigation.
