Now, I am not talking about the shirt dress that was popularized in the 1950's. I am referring to wearing a shirt, with slits on the side and a flare at the bottom, as a dress. I don't care if you have Gisele Bundchen's body, it's just not cute.
This past weekend, as I was making my way down Court Street, I couldn't help but notice several girls (or rather their back ends) who were walking in front of me. Their outfits consisted of dresses with three-inch hemlines complemented by bare legs, stilettos and, to put it simply, cleavage. When did it become acceptable to wear a shirt as a dress? Ladies, if you are contemplating this look, please put on some pants or save it for Halloween. Once a year is more than enough for this trend.
