Headliner Gogol Bordello, along with others, added to 2013 Nelsonville Music Festival lineup

Stuart’s Opera House announced the Thursday night headliner for the Nelsonville Music Festival Monday, along with other bands that make up the third round of additions to the festival’s lineup.

Gogol Bordello will take the stage Thursday night, joining John Prine and Wilco as headliners for the festival, which will take place May 30 to June 2.

“They do a lot of different styles of music, the members of the band have a bunch of different backgrounds,” said Brian Koscho, marketing and promotions coordinator for Stuart’s Opera House. “This is a band that’s been on the festival’s radar for a while … we’re pretty excited to have them.”

Added the list of confirmed performers were rock group Screaming Females, folk ensemble Field Report, pop-rock band Old Light and soul group Wesley Bright and The Hi-Lites.

“There are a lot of up and coming (artists), (as well as) some that have been around for a while.” Koscho said. “All our acts fit in really well with the (ideas behind) the festival.”

The price for weekend passes to the festival has jumped to $110, which will eventually rise to $130 in coming weeks. Single day tickets will go on sale April 1.

There will be one more round of announcements to round out the festival’s lineup, including the Friday night headliner.

“We’re going full speed at this point,” Koscho said.
