A 27-year-old Iraq war veteran was found dead Sunday at a house on Hunterdon Road in Glouster.
After a late night of drinking with friends in Athens, his friend Casey Christa thought John Jack Lane III was just sleeping around 4:30 p.m. When Christa checked again about an hour later, Lane was cold
said Sheriff Pat Kelly.
The body was sent to the Montgomery County Coroner's Office for an autopsy and a toxicology report, a procedure that usually takes about five weeks.
This really puts us at a disadvantage because by then it will be five weeks after the death Kelly said. Athens Coroner Harold Thompson was
unavailable for comment.
