As the sun beamed down on the concrete field that is the Athens Skate Park on Saturday, multiple bands from across the country performed while skateboarders swarmed the park. The pounding rock music and thunderous sounds of wheels rolling across pavement signaled one thing: the return of Skate Jam.

This past weekend, alumni of Ohio University’s physical therapy program gathered at dinners and a Gala to celebrate 40 years of the program. As the alumni board itself was created just 10 years ago, the PT program has had an extensive journey at OU.

Things didn’t go well for Ohio against Kentucky on Saturday. The Bobcats entered the game with their starting quarterback and leading edge rusher out with injuries. At the half, Ohio trailed 17-0 and looked lost on offense. At game end, Ohio stared down its biggest deficit of the season: a 41-6 loss.

Ohio (2-2*) fell in its final non-conference game against a Southeastern Conference foe in Kentucky (2-2) by a score of 41-6. The offense, led by backup quarterback Nick Poulos, was unable to gain much on a stout Kentucky defense.
