It looms over shoulders and lurks at the bottom of the proverbial staircase, just as soon as one thinks their goals are well within reach. As defined by the National Institute of Health, imposter syndrome is “a behavioral health problem described as self-doubt of intellect, skills or accomplishments among high-achieving individuals.”

Ohio Senate Bill 1 is a bill that “bans Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion courses, training, litmus tests, required statements, and spending for any DEI initiatives or programs with the same intent,” specifically in higher education. By banning DEI initiatives, university students in Ohio will lose access to a multitude of open and welcoming environments, course offerings and potentially scholarship money.

The new South Green residence hall, named after Ohio University’s 20th president Roderick J. McDavis broke ground in April 2024. The 591-bed, five-story facility will be ready for students to move in by August 2026.

In the early 2000s, it would have been rare to find more than a few desktop computers in a classroom. 20 years later, a classroom would seem incomplete without a crowd of students relying on personal laptops and multiple other devices to get through the school day. In more recent years, those laptops have become a means to use artificial intelligence in the classroom.

Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister is somewhat of a saint in the world of hard and heavy music. His distinct look paired with his truly one-of-a-kind voice and quick bass guitar skills made him one of the ‘70s most recognizable lead singers when Motörhead took the Roundhouse stage in England on July 20, 1975 for its first ever show. Only audio recordings exist of the group’s foundational live performance, but photos, videos and off-camera recordings play a huge role in remembering Kilmister’s glory and impact on music history.
