After high school graduation, I had to answer this dreaded question a thousand times: “Where are you going to college?” Each time, with pure excitement, I answered, “Ohio University,” and almost nine times out of 10, I was met with the classic “party school” response, followed by a lecture I never asked for. As an introvert, my anxieties about such a reputation gradually increased.

Ohio (16-31, 11-16 Mid-American Conference) wrapped up its road schedule this past weekend with a series victory against its storied rival, Miami (25-23, 17-13 MAC). The Bobcats were able to come out on top in two of three games against the Redhawks, but needing to win out for any hope of a tournament spot, the team's sole loss ultimately eliminated them from postseason contention.

It was a beautiful, sunny day in Athens, Ohio, at Bob Wren Stadium. Packed with eager fans, Ohio (13-25 overall, 8-15 Mid-American Conference) had a matchup with conference opponent Toledo (20-23 overall, 13-10 MAC). Unfortunately for the fans in attendance, Ohio’s bright and sunny day quickly turned gloomy and overcast with Ohio losing 16-2.

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure at Ohio University’s Office of Sustainability’s Rebike Program. The Program was part of a series of events in celebration of Earth Day on Tuesday, continuing the tradition of celebrating “Earth Day Every Day.” In efforts to promote the reuse of long-lasting products such as bicycles, the ReBike Program is a good start to practice being environmentally friendly.

On April 10, 2024, Orenthal James “O.J.” Simpson died of prostate cancer at 76 years old. Simpson is most known for being on trial for charges involving the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. The trial was televised and spanned 11 months, starting Nov. 9, 1994, and ending Oct. 3, 1995. Simpson pled not guilty, and his response has been parodied ever since.
