Christian Bale has been the master of disguise throughout his long tenure in the film industry. The actor is known in Hollywood as a contortionist for the way that he physically transforms for a role, as much as mentally. He takes method acting to a whole new level in the ways that he transforms for a role. Bale doesn’t shy away from taking roles that are difficult to fully encapsulate. Many of the roles he’s taken on have been challenges to other actors, so much so that they wouldn’t even attempt to take on the roles. Bale hasn’t stepped away from a challenge to date, even at the cost of his career aspirations. He puts his heart into a role, even at the expense of his body and career.

Freddie Gibbs’ new album “$oul $old $eparately” is a new take on Gibbs’ sound that moves him closer to the mainstream. The album comes two years after Gibbs’ last release, “Alfredo.” Gibbs shines vocally on this project, something that isn’t new to his discography. Gibbs is a talented lyrical performer, so it isn’t any surprise that this album features impressive lyricism.

It has been nearly three years since Alex G released his last project, "House of Sugar." Although well put-together and thought out, his album fell through the cracks and not much was said about it. This was unfortunate, simply because the artist put so much effort into "House of Sugar."

The wonderful hit horror movie from A24 just got an addition to its storyline with this disturbing, yet grand prequel. “X” was a great introduction to the lives of the world that surrounds the horror within it. It’s obvious that the introduction was necessary, as the prequel perfectly displays the mania that started it all.

Last week, rapper Saba gave a talk at Ohio University’s Music Industry Summit. This appearance preceded his 2022 U.S. Tour, where he is set to grow his listener base by significant margins. There is no other artist that deserves the spotlight more right now than this Chicago-based rapper. Saba has changed in his messages, but his music has stayed consistent through all of his previous albums.

Paul Dano is one of the most interesting actors in mainstream films. His talent is unmatched and he delivers in every role he has been cast in. Dano is a very versatile and profound actor. He gives himself to every role, portraying every character with a certain touch of his own. Dano truthfully understands the craft of telling a story through the characters he plays, and it’s evident that throughout his career he’s mastered the craft. Dano is making buzz for his most recent role in The Batman as The Riddler. He has so many other good roles that are so much more profound and hit so much harder. It’s only right that there be a ranking of the best ones.

On March 11, British indie artist Rex Orange County (Alexander James O’Connor) released his newest album Who Cares? In his latest installment, Rex replaces his dreamy guitar loops with string and orchestra sections, thanks to the help from Benny Sings, another artist who has influenced Rex’s career throughout the years. The album doesn’t stray that far from the norm, but there is a definite change in sound compared to other albums in Rex’s discography.

It’s no secret that Valentine’s Day can be unlikeable for many people. If you aren’t in a relationship, it seems as if the holiday is pointless. On the other hand, a lot of people enjoy the celebration of love and the feelings it evokes. The consensus is certainly up in the air. Rom-coms can be cheesy and overplayed, but that’s not to say people don’t enjoy a good love story. With that in mind, here are some non-traditional love stories that are in better taste than the run-of-the-mill rom-com:
