As both a concert photographer and frequent show-goer, I have seen a lot of different types of music crowds. From metalcore mosh pits and underground indie shows to bluegrass hoedowns and outdoor festivals, I’ve been to my fair share of concerts. For the past few years, however, many others and I have begun to notice a decline in general concert etiquette.

Ohio (3-3 overall) arrives back at The Convo to face off against UIC (4-4 overall). Both of these teams are exactly .500, but Ohio does have the better record at home. Despite losing its last game, Ohio showed out offensively, dominating the shooting percentages when compared to its opponent, Davidson. In a category the Bobcats previously struggled in earlier in this season and the previous season, they have started to turn that around.

The NCAA has a serious problem, and it isn’t with name, image and likeness deals anymore. Although NIL is still relatively new, teams are still adapting and evolving to its protocol. The current issue is with the calendar and transfer portal, which is changing how college sports are played, making it unfair to athletes who have worked with a coach all season toward a goal for them to just leave right before big games.

On Monday afternoon, Ohio defensive coordinator John Hauser was named interim head coach. The bombshell news comes just days after Ohio’s regular season ended with a win on the road against Buffalo. The Bobcats were eliminated from Mid-American Conference title contention the same day after wins from Miami and Toledo.

Black bears are an endangered species in Ohio, but their population has been increasing, and there were recent sightings of bears in the area. One such sighting was of a large black bear, referred to as Big Clyde by hunters.
