Luke Combs is distinctly different from a lot of current notorious country-pop artists in the best way possible -- he remains true to his country roots by singing about the embodiment of being a good man, how to love a woman right and embracing blue-grass and honky-tonk melodies. Combs does not need the flirty lyrics or synthetic beats, as his hoarse and timeless voice is more than enough compensation.

Tucker Pillsbury, more commonly known by his stage name, ROLE MODEL, has just released his third EP, our little angel. Pillsbury has yet to release an album, though there is no denying he should. However, ROLE MODEL is still in the midst of developing his fanbase and his name. He is excelling nevertheless, by consistently releasing singles, promoting his work actively on social media and reaching listeners worldwide through multiple streaming platforms.

LANY, the indie-pop alternative trio, has played it safe and ultimately stuck to what they know and do best on their third album, mama’s boy: create wistful, raw, soft ballads that accurately and authentically portray unconditional love and the heartbreak that comes from it. LANY frequently leaves listeners in tears due to at least one track on their albums, and on this one, there are many. Though similar to their preceding albums and EPs in the sense of sound and lyric, the trio’s identity is undeniably their own and recognizable for an impartial reason, whether one is in favor of it or not.

Relationships are complicated. It’s something some people figure out in high school, others in college and some not even until late adulthood. However, we are all human and we all have thoughts and feelings that can sometimes drive us to do and say irrational, crazy things, especially in college when everyone seems to be handling love, crushes and intimacy in different ways. The truth is, there is no right answer for how one should control and manage their emotions. College is a very weird time to fall for someone and to meet people who interest you because everyone wants different things out of a relationship, whether platonic or romantic, and that is when things can become messy.

Quarantine brought out the best in most people’s creativity and comfy style. With nowhere to go to dress up and look good for, we were left to make looking casual cute again. From DIY sets to throwing different articles of clothing together to principally wearing a mask everywhere, the look stuck. So naturally, it should come as no surprise that many students will be sporting some of the new trends on campus this fall.
