LANY, the indie-pop alternative trio, has played it safe and ultimately stuck to what they know and do best on their third album, mama’s boy: create wistful, raw, soft ballads that accurately and authentically portray unconditional love and the heartbreak that comes from it. LANY frequently leaves listeners in tears due to at least one track on their albums, and on this one, there are many. Though similar to their preceding albums and EPs in the sense of sound and lyric, the trio’s identity is undeniably their own and recognizable for an impartial reason, whether one is in favor of it or not.

Fashion has always and forever will be an integral part of culture. It is essentially a form of art and self expression. Many large, corporate retail brands first began as solely an idea, and over time have evolved into what they are known as today. Similarly, many Ohio University students have the same aspirations. Most college students are on the verge of being broke, and if they’re not, they are more than likely only one of few. This means, most students’ first priority as to where their money is spent is not clothes, and if it is, they probably have a shopping addiction. However, with the weather changing, many are probably in need of a new wardrobe. Instead of buying new hoodies, sweatpants, etc., we’re here to help you discover four new ways you can recycle your summer clothes and layer different articles of clothing to be more fitting for the chillier months. Not only is this better for the environment, but it is also better for your bank account.

On a crisp, fall night, lighting a candle can be the perfect mood setter for when wanting to snuggle up in bed or on the couch, and watch a spooky movie, read a book, journal or listen to music. If you’re a decorator, consider placing some candles all around your house, apartment or room to add a splash of color and a variety of scents throughout. Your nose will be thanking you when your whole surrounding aroma smells of all things fall.

Relationships are complicated. It’s something some people figure out in high school, others in college and some not even until late adulthood. However, we are all human and we all have thoughts and feelings that can sometimes drive us to do and say irrational, crazy things, especially in college when everyone seems to be handling love, crushes and intimacy in different ways. Going into the duels, there will be 10 acts fighting for a spot in each division, with five from each advancing to the cut and an additional act from each division who will earn their respected spot from the redemption round.
