Closing the trilogy of crude yet heartfelt animated films aimed at young adults, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is a fun and fitting end to the series. After nearly a full decade since the original film was released, The Hidden World aims to wrap a bow on the characters and relationships built over three movies. With some of DreamWorks Animation’s most impressive work on display and yet another enchanting soundtrack by John Powell, not even a lackluster villain and occasionally inconsistent plot can keep this film from soaring.

Since the original in 2014, The LEGO films have always been delightfully self-aware. They seem to have a knack for knowing exactly what audiences are thinking, even if it’s a criticism, and immediately make a joke about it. The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part knows its greatest flaws, including not being quite as good as its predecessor.

On Feb. 4, 2004, Mark Zuckerberg and his roommate launched a social networking service for Harvard students called TheFacebook. In the 15 years since, the site expanded to other universities and eventually to most of Internet-using world. The site also dropped the “The” along the way, becoming just “Facebook.”

“Change Your Mind” isn’t just the finale of Steven Universe’s fifth season. It’s the end of an era. With a new revelation nearly every second of the episode’s 45-minute runtime, Steven Universe can never go back to how it was before. Although what awaits for the future of the show is hazy, this finale ends with no question unanswered, and no roads unexplored.

For some, the fall and winter months are a time — after exams — to relax, celebrate the festiveness and enjoy the varied pumpkin-spice flavored food and drinks. For those with seasonal depression, however, it can be one of the most difficult times of the year.

Ohio is far from the only state in the US to have a city named “Athens.” In fact, there are 21 other states with cities or counties of the same namesake.

Since the series returned, every 11-minute episode of Steven Universe has been stuffed with revelations, new locations and rising stakes. In the penultimate episode of the season, however, the series literally comes back down to Earth, in a quiet and contemplative last call for help.

For the first time since the series was rebooted in 2005, Doctor Who didn’t have a Christmas special in 2018. Instead, there was a New Year’s special to kick off 2019. Although “Resolution” will be the only episode of the year, showrunner Chris Chibnall makes up for it by pulling all of the stops.

A lot had been revealed before Steven Universe’s six-month hiatus: Rose (Susan Egan) is Pink Diamond, Ruby (Charlyne Yi) proposed to and married Sapphire (Erica Luttrell) and both Blue (Lisa Hannigan) and Yellow (Patti Lupone) Diamond finally came to Earth. It culminated in a dramatic battle in which Steven (Zach Callison) finally convinced the Diamonds of his past identity. But tonight’s episode, which has been available online through the Cartoon Network app since July, has one of the show’s most anticipated reveals yet.

“The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos” acts like any other Doctor Who season finale, but it doesn’t seem genuine. There are explosions, dramatic confrontations and a plot that starts as a rescue mission of two people and gradually ramps up into a mission to save not just planet Earth but nine other planets. However, it only draws on the season premiere for previous plot developments, leaving the other eight adventures the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) and her companions went on to be forgotten. Though it has an engaging premise, it shows both the season’s greatest triumphs and most damning faults.

Perhaps it’s because the “witch hunt” story has been told ad nauseam, even within Doctor Who. Perhaps it’s because the terrifying new aliens barely have a presence until the very end. Or perhaps it’s because nothing substantial ever seems to happen for the duration of the 50-minute episode. Whatever the reason, “The Witchfinders” is a dull, tired and often even obnoxious episode of Doctor Who, devoid of the new life and energy the the show kept since the beginning of the season.

“Kerblam!” is an explosive and fun episode title for Doctor Who, and the rest of Sunday’s episode perfectly reflects that feeling. Not only does first-time guest writer Pete McTighe create a riveting mystery with some of the most painfully endearing guest characters to date, but a buoyant energy flows through every character, including the main cast.

Episode six, “Demons of the Punjab,” lacks a lot of what makes a typical episode of Doctor Who. Once the dust has settled, there isn’t much for the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) or Team TARDIS to do. Instead, the episode sets an unusually slow pace, taking lots of time to contemplate family, heritage, love and loss, while also throwing in a history lesson. Although “Demons of the Punjab” breaks away from what Whovians might be used to, the series is richer for it.

The “spaceship on fire” story has been done countless times before in Doctor Who. The Doctor and crew find themselves on a spaceship that’s under siege by an alien force, picking away at the ship’s crew as they try to stop it. What makes “The Tsuranga Conundrum” stand apart from other similar Doctor Who stories is its focus on the rich cast, with the invader merely being the catalyst for these people to work together.
