Taylor Jenkins Reid's bestselling novel, "Daisy Jones & The Six," about a fictional band from the '70s with as much drama as the legendary Fleetwood Mac, finally has come to the big screens. The first three episodes have been released to the subsequent Amazon Prime, each one seemingly more addicting than the last. While it majorly follows its derived source, it changes quite a few things and beats its own drum without taking away from its overall quality.

Coincidental or not, seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady subsequently retired the same week a movie revolving around him was released to theaters. But the four well-known, outstanding actresses in their '70s and '80s starring in the film, are nowhere near retiring from their established careers. Before the release of “80 for Brady,” it was deemed to look like another cheap flick that your 50-year-old mother would watch on a night out with the girls. But surprisingly enough, this “chick-flick” flicks all odds, and snaps a football the whole nine yards.

Netflix is excellent at taking astounding, legendary actors and making them look like a fool of themselves, as seen per their newly released rom-com, “You People.” It is basically a combination of films like “Meet the Parents” and “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,” with age-old tropes of parental indifference and racial stereotypes that have been seen time and time again.

It’s been four years since Canadian singer-songwriter Mac DeMarco released his last studio album, “Here Comes the Cowboy.” The indie icon has now returned with his long-awaited fifth studio album, “Five Easy Hot Dogs,” that is completely just instrumental. DeMarco had the ambitious goal to record the album across several cities in the US and Canada, determined not to go home unless he finished the album entirely. With 14 brand new tracks completely made solo, the album was an attempt for the artist to take a liberating step back from his normal music. Though it is mentioned in the album’s title, this album is practically as easy as easy goes, with a seemingly heavy resemblance to elevator music.

It’s been 10 years since the Canadian pop princess, Carly Rae Jepsen, released one of the most defiant pop hits of all time, “Call Me Maybe.” Her newly released sixth pop album, “The Loneliest Time,” shows yet again that she deserves that same attention from a decade ago. The album features 13 tracks and three extra bonus tracks. Within these 16 new songs, the singer has clearly matured, while also maintaining her dance-pop sound.

At first glance, the 1930s screwball mystery film “Amsterdam,” which contains an array of award-winning stars, seems like an exceptional film. But no matter how recognizable the faces are, it doesn’t cover up the lack of a comprehensible narrative or any substance that is made by a controversial director who is trying to recuse himself of his wrongdoings.

The famous Sanderson sisters are back almost 30 years after their first appearance in one of the most iconic Halloween movies of all time, “Hocus Pocus.” The film’s long-awaited sequel, “Hocus Pocus 2,” was released straight to Disney+ just a month before their designated holiday. For a sequel, the film is pretty satisfying, full of more musical moments, hilarious modern occurrences, and altogether enchanting fun. All the nostalgic fall vibes are there as well, wrapping the viewers in cozy blankets while enjoying the sequel of a Halloween classic.
