Tantrum Theater is in the middle of its eighth theater season, and it opened its second show of the season Friday. Tantrum Theater put on the show “9 to 5,” which follows Violet Newstead, Judy Bernly and Doralee Rhodes as they deal with their difficult boss.

According to History.com, Women’s History Month was first established as Women's History Week in 1978, after the school district of Sonoma, California, celebrated the cultural, historical and societal accomplishments made by women. The week later evolved into National Women’s History Month in 1987, honoring the numerous accomplishments made by women around the world.

After all the fanfare and mayhem that occurred at the end of the weekend at the Mid-American Conference Swim and Dive Championships, Ohio could be found huddled in the hallway of the Ohio Aquatic Center. Coach Mason Norman addressed his team, some of whom were visibly emotional. The ending was not the storybook one with Ohio getting to hoist the trophy in its home pool, but still, it was an ending to be proud of. Ohio was able to secure its highest placement as a team at the MAC Championships since it was runner-up in 2013.

Ohio’s (17-12, 11-5 Mid-American Conference) 2024 home campaign ended on Friday night against Bowling Green(17-12, 8-8 MAC). On senior night, the Bobcats outlasted the Falcons by a score of 66-59 in a back-and-forth game that came down to the wire. Despite having two more games on the schedule, both on the road, Ohio ended its season with an 8-game winning streak at home.

On the third day of competition, Ohio was able to string together a pair of first-place finishes out of the six events on the day. As the action continued, Akron widened its lead while Miami and Ohio tried to overtake one another as well as Akron. Nonetheless, Ohio saw a lot of strong performances in the six events on Day 3 as its quest for a Mid-American Conference title continues.

Ohio entered the second day of the Mid-American Conference championships, staring down a 10-point deficit to both Miami and Akron after two events on Day 1. Day 2 featured five events: the 500-yard freestyle, the 200-yard IM, the 50-yard freestyle, one-meter diving and the 400-yard medley relay.

Ohio University’s Ping Recreation Center is the only student gym on the Athens campus. As a result of an influx of students admitted to the campus, the gym is becoming extremely overcrowded. It leaves many of us students asking ourselves, “Why is Ping the only gym?”
