Through social media platforms like TikTok, I’ve read comments condemning users for purchasing clothing from Shein in “haul” videos and individual videos on how unethical it is to buy clothing from Shein due to its contribution to wasteful consumption of clothing.

You never really know what you’re going to get when the Oscars roll around. The Academy has done some things here and there over recent years to help the award show move along more efficiently, but there are always viral moments waiting to jump out. Moon Knight has been one of my most anticipated Marvel series since it was announced at the D23 Expo in 2019, and that was well before it was announced that Oscar Isaac would be taking on the titular role. Personally, my excitement stemmed from Moon Knight’s characterization; he has a darker, more violent temperament than most others in the MCU. Of course, that was well before the TV-MA-rated Netflix shows, like Daredevil and Punisher, made their way over to the Disney streaming service. The 2019 announcement of Moon Knight occurred even prior to the release of Wandavision, which revealed the emerging Marvel-Disney+ template.

Athens Jazz Festival is hosting a concert at ARTS/West, 132 W. State St. The show will start at 7 p.m. with the Jazz Ensemble II, which is comprised of Ohio University students with direction from Sean Parsons. After the opening performance, there will be a faculty performance with special guests.
