While fest-goers were raving over the announcement of the 12Fest lineup — including headliner Wiz Khalifa — others took to Twitter with questions concerning the new green cup campaign, which will force  attendees to pour beer into a plastic cup once opened.

Hope For Humanity: Addressing OU's rape culture should be a priority for Board of Trustees

Just before concluding Nov. 1’s Board of Trustees meeting, Ohio University President Roderick McDavis, Vice President for Student Affairs Ryan Lombardi and General Counsel John Biancamano presented to the board members about Homecoming Weekend’s Court Street incident. According to the minutes, “a discussion ensued.” This “discussion”—the only public record implying that the Board of Trustees has at all considered the issue of rape culture on OU’s campus—lasted approximately 10 minutes.

City needs new cars

Athens city leaders plan to put some of the city’s oldest vehicles — such as street cleaners, police cruisers and pumper trucks — to rest this year and replace them with state-of-the art vehicles that are more efficient but pricey.

College Matt-ers: Trustees should revote to nix McDavis' raise

Presumably, sometime between the Board of Trustees’ training on open government laws this Thursday and before they leave Athens, the board members will revote on Ohio University President Roderick McDavis’ bonus and pay raises totaling $78,400.
