Sheriff's office arrests two for burglary and pouring milk on floor

The Athens County Sheriff’s Office arrested two Athens County residents Monday on charges of burglary.

Zachery Lee Campbell, 20, and Whitney Jean Rosser, 24, invaded a home on Longmeadow Lane while two elderly residents were asleep, Athens County Sheriff Rodney Smith said in a news release. The residents were “moved to the living room area” and not harmed.

Campbell and Lee then reportedly “rummaged throughout the home, scattered random things around the residence and poured a gallon of milk on the kitchen floor,” Smith said in the release.

Deputies reviewed security camera footage. According to the release, the footage showed Campbell and Rosser entering the residence without permission and leaving with items they did not carry into the residence.

On Tuesday morning, deputies arrested Campbell and Rosser at their residence in The Plains and transported them to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. Campbell and Rosser are each being held on $25,000 bond.
