Ohio University Graduate Student Senate will vote on two resolutions at its Tuesday night meeting.
GSS President Maria Modayil said the body will vote to cover the $62.50 cost of popcorn for the April 4 showing of the movie Awake, A Dream From Standing Rock as part of “Environmental Justice Week.” That resolution is in conjunction with OU Student Senate.
The Athena Cinema is offering free admission to the movie for its sustainability series.
Because there isn’t a presentation on the agenda, the meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. Modayil said the body could use this time to discuss Graduate-Professional Student Appreciation Week and progress of the health insurance subsidy resolution passed at its Feb. 20 meeting.
“It’s rare to have everyone in the same room, so (we could) have a large group discussion about it,” Modayil said.
The body will also vote to appoint new members.
