and Hamda Jama
21 to raid a New Marshfield trailer in the early hours of Feb. 15. The assault escalated into a shootout that left Donnie Putnam formerly of Meigs County
dead from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Abdi's trial is scheduled to begin with jury selection on Monday with opening statements most likely starting Wednesday.
This is third of four murder cases arising from Putnam's death. A jury found Boler guilty of robbery and murder in June
and a second jury found Osman guilty of similar charges last week.
Judge Michael Ward
who is presiding over all four cases
sentenced each of them to 28 years to life in prison. Both Boler and Osman have appealed their convictions.
Jama - who was reportedly present during the shootout
but reportedly did not fire a gun - will go to trial in late September. Prosecutors have also charged her with aggravated robbery and felony murder.
Prosecutors said during the first two trials that those cases were open and shut because they had an abundance of witness testimony and the defendants' confessions to police. They would not comment on whether they thought Abdi's trial would be as straightforward.
Football Player sentenced
The second of two football players charged with having stolen computers will spend two days in prison and pay a $100 fine as part of a plea deal he made with prosecutors late last week.
