Forward registers seventh double-double in upset

Erin Isbell had one of her best performances in the upset victory against Western Michigan. The Gahanna native posted a career-high 18 points and tied her season-high with 15 rebounds.

She did everything well. I mean from scoring and rebounding. She had a few assists

Ohio coach Lynn Bria said. She just all-around had a great game from the opening tip.

Isbell was 8-for-11 from the field against the Broncos. The double-double was Isbell's seventh of the season.

Bobcats stun Western Michigan

Ohio earned arguably its biggest win of the season Saturday at Western Michigan, when the Bobcats stunned the Broncos, 74-72, after Latreece Bagley put in a lay-up with one second remaining.

It was certainly a huge shot for us I can tell you that. Bria said.

Earlier in the season Bria said Ohio's performance against Buffalo was the best she'd seen all season. She said the Bobcats' performance in the win against Western Michigan was probably comparable to Buffalo.

The Bobcats shot 54 percent from the floor while limiting the Broncos to 44 percent. The Broncos were without the Mid-American Conference's leading scorer, Casey Rost, after she tore her left anterior cruciate ligament against Toledo on Feb. 18.

Western Michigan was also without head coach Ron Stewart, who was serving a one-game suspension for violating the league's sportsmanlike conduct policy following Wednesday's loss at Toledo.

Eastern Michigan rolls into Athens

Eastern Michigan will be strolling into Athens Wednesday with loads of confidence, after the Bobcats win against Western Michigan helped the Eagles clinch a share of their first ever MAC West Division title. The Eagles sit at 18-6 overall and 11-3 in the MAC.

A key to the Eagle's success this season has been sharpshooter Marion Crandall, who has been torching the nets from beyond the 3-point arc. Crandall has been shooting a MAC-leading 51.7 percent from downtown.

If the Bobcats want to come out on top Wednesday night, they must guard the perimeter effectively, something that has hurt them at times this season.

We're just gonna you know

close out on their shooters

Isbell said. We know that they're good shooters. We're gonna try and make them put the ball on the floor.
