Today's softball doubleheader at Dayton has been postponed due to predicted low temperatures and wind chill, coach Roanna Brazier said Monday.
After a 2-4 weekend at the Holiday Inn Express/Pirate Clash Tournament at Eastern Carolina, Brazier said the instate contests would have been a much-needed chance to compete. With rain and cold weather in Athens, the team's only chance to get on the field has been during games.
We just need to be able to play together more
she said.
Ohio (2-7) will make up the games against Dayton (3-12) on May 10, two days after the Bobcats' final regular-season Mid-American Conference game and three days before the MAC Tournament begins.
For now, the Bobcats will have to wait until this weekend to return to the diamond. They will take on St. John's at 10 a.m. and Charleston Southern at 6 p.m Friday in the first day of the Winthrop Ringor Invitational at Rock Hill, S.C. 17
