The Ohio softball team will continue its season this weekend with a trip to Greenville, N.C. The Bobcats will compete in the East Carolina Pirate Clash.
Ohio softball coach Roanna Brazier said East Carolina (11-5-1), the team that is playing host, would be the best opponent the Bobcats will face this weekend
They're very quick. They like to run. They're an aggressive team
Brazier said.
Brazier said a key for Ohio (0-3) would be to keep East Carolina off the base paths.
We're going to have to be on our toes a lot Brazier said. They have two or three really fast runners that we're going to have to keep off the base.
Ohio will also square off against Stony Brook (1-4), James Madison (2-7) and Liberty (5-8). Rider (1-1) is also in the tournament, but Ohio will not play Rider unless the teams match up on the last day.

Brazier said. Every one of them have two or three good power hitters that we're going to have to look out for. Just don't let those hitters beat us.
Utility player Kiersten Scrima said the team is focused on winning.
We need to keep up the hard work and not let down
Scrima said. Don't be satisfied until we have those wins.
Two weeks ago Ohio started its season playing competitively but still losing all three games played. Brazier said it is important to win games this weekend.
We just need to get some wins under our belt

Brazier said. We need to learn how to win again and feel how it is to win again. If we can come out undefeated or maybe just one loss this weekend
I think that would be a huge step in the right direction.
Ohio plays James Madison at 10 a.m. and Stony Brook at 2 p.m. today. Ohio plays Liberty at noon Saturday and then faces East Carolina at 2 p.m. They play a final game Sunday against an as-yet undetermined opponent.
