The Alexander Local School Board has set the ribbon cutting date for the newly completed school building for Aug. 15.
The event will give the community, parents and students the chance to tour the facility and participate in an ice cream social.
There will be open houses for parents once the school year begins, as well, said Nedra Zirkle, Alexander Middle School principal.
The building currently functions as the high school, but kindergarten through twelfth grade students will share it once construction is complete.
New furniture for the complex arrives in July, Zirkle said.
