Ohio University senior Christa Johnson, 22, died this weekend after suffering unexplained heart complications at her home in Highland Heights, Ohio.
Her funeral will take place today at 11 a.m. at the Saint Paschal Baylon Funeral Home in Highland Heights. Johnson's older sister Cyndi said about 50 of Christa's friends from OU attended her wake yesterday.
The exact cause of Johnson's death remains unknown, but was probably a blood clot or an aneurism, her sister said.
While attending OU, Johnson majored in marketing, public relations and advertising.
Her sister said she was fun loving and had a million friends.
Friends called her giving and caring, Cyndi said.
Johnson was the daughter of Carl and Catherine Johnson.
Dean of Students Terry Hogan had few details yesterday, but OU offers counseling for students at Hudson Health Center. Counseling and Psychological Services is located on the third floor. Call 593-1616 for more information.
