Ohio University services such as the Ping Center, Alden Library and Baker University Center continue to be available to the student population during Summer Quarter, albeit with slightly different hours of operation.
The Ping Center remains free for students enrolled in summer classes. Students not taking a course must pay $7.50 for each visit or $50 each summer session for unlimited access.
If you're in school
you pay a recreation fee. If you're not in school you don't said Ping Center Director Hafedh Benhadj, explaining the reasoning for the fee. Students enrolled in classes pay a fee of about $70 for the full quarter.
Ping is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Students may check out materials from Alden Library as usual. The library is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
Baker Center's public areas and the Front Room Coffee House are open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 9 p.m. Saturday. The post office is open 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, while the recreation room and the Corner Room are closed for the summer.
All university institutions will be closed this Sunday and Monday in observance of Independence Day.
