Football
7 p.m. Saturday against Buffalo at Peden Stadium
What2Watch4 After nearly two years without a win, Buffalo snapped its 18-game losing streak last season -against the Bobcats. The home team has won the last four games in this series.
Cross country
10 a.m. Saturday at the Ohio Invitational at West State Street Park
W2W4 The second, and last, home meet of the season is Ohio's final preparation for its trip next weekend to the Notre Dame Invitational, the Bobcats' biggest meet during the Clay Calkins Era.
Volleyball
7 p.m. tonight against Ball State and 4 p.m. Saturday against Miami in The Convo
W2W4 The Bobcats are a lot like Rodney Dangerfield: they get no respect. Despite easily handling Pepperdine and Florida A & M, listed at Nos. 26 and 27, respectively, Ohio is still listed behind both teams.
Women's golf
Today and Saturday at the Eastern Kentucky Fall Invitational
W2W4 The women's team opens its season after watching the men's team finish second at Bowling Green's Piper Intercollegiate two weeks ago.
Soccer
4 p.m. today against Akron at Chessa Field and 2 p.m. Sunday at North Carolina-Charlotte
W2W4 Typical Ohio soccer: struggle to open the season (playing opossum all the while), only to pounce on the opposition when MAC play begins. The Bobcats are undefeated against conference opponents, 2-0-2, and have allowed just one goal in four games.
Hockey
7 p.m. tonight and Saturday against North Dakota State at Bird Arena
W2W4 After running the tables last season and winning its first ACHA national championship since 1997, the Bobcats begin their title defense tonight. $4 to get in the door, but it's tough to argue that it's not worth it.
Field hockey
3 p.m. today against No. 4 Michigan State and 1 p.m. Sunday against Kent State at Peggy Pruitt Field
W2W4 The Bobcats are still struggling to find a rhythm, though they are traditionally slow starters. The No. 4 Spartans could prove a tough test this weekend, but it's all about the long term: Ohio has nearly five weeks to regain form for a fifth straight MAC Championship game appearance.
