One more big-time speaker will be taking the stage in Athens with the goal of winning a few more voters to John Kerry's side.

Following in the footsteps of Democratic vice-presidential candidate John Edwards' visit in September, controversial filmmaker Michael Moore will be speaking in Athens on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the corners of West Union and Court streets, according to a press release.

Moore, director of the award-winning film Fahrenheit 9/11

is an outspoken critic of the Bush administration. His visit is the sandwich event in a day full of appearances by Moore in Ohio.

He is scheduled to speak at the University of Akron at noon, to appear in Athens at 4 p.m. and to finish his day in Columbus for a 7 p.m. appearance, according to Moore's Web site, http://www. michaelmoore.com.
