Senior forward steps up in game against Miami

Terren Harbut wasn't going to let the Bobcats lose to rival Miami.

The senior forward came up big as the Ohio men's basketball team took out Miami, 61-57, in the latest in a series of statement victories during the 2005 season.

This being one of our biggest rivalries

I felt everybody had to step up Harbut said. Me personally

as a senior

we're coming down on like six more games in the conference

so it was just time that I just needed to really step up my game.

Harbut stepped up his game, especially in the first half when he scored 11 of his 15 points to put the Bobcats (13-8 overall, 8-5

Mid-American Conference) ahead. For the game, Harbut made

seven-of-11 shots from the field.

Terren had a great game

Ohio coach Tim O'Shea said. We needed Terren to have a great game. When Mychal Green was off

we needed somebody to pick up that slack

and Terren did it in a big way.

Center Leon Williams also enjoyed a productive day inside, scoring a team-high 16 points, after a scoreless game at Bowling Green.

I wasn't really worried about it

because I knew I'd come back strong

he said. My pride was hurt after the Bowling Green game
