Before this weekend's matches, middle blocker Melissa Griffin was named MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week for her performance the previous weekend against Ball State and Toledo.
Griffin won the award after leading the 'Cats to sweeps against both opponents and moving into third place on the Bobcats' all-time career kills list.
Griffin continued her impressive season this weekend in Ohio's wins against Western Michigan and Northern Illinois.
On Friday against Western Michigan, Griffin led the Bobcats' attack with a match-high 19 kills while hitting .417.
Griffin followed up her impressive performance against Western Michigan with a career game against Northern Illinois.-
