ATHENS ' The Ohio Solar Tour will show renewable energy-powered and energy efficient homes and buildings in Hocking and Athens counties tomorrow. The tour, organized by Green Energy Ohio, a clean energy advocate group, will show more than solar energy. It will highlight hundreds of solar, wind, biomass, green design and energy-saving technologies in every corner of the state. Some sites include the solar photovoltaic systems and fuel cell technology at Hocking College in Nelsonville, a wind/solar electric hybrid system in Logan, solar thermal technology at Ohio University and an off-grid solar electric system providing 100 percent of the electrical needs of a home in Stewart. Many will be surprised to learn that Ohio already has commercial solar electricity
