Tonight the Ohio University Horizon Concert Series invites students, faculty and Athens residents to hang out with Three Girls and their Buddy at 7:30 p.m. in Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium.
The three girls are Emmylou Harris, Patty Griffin and Shawn Colvin, while their buddy is none other than Buddy Miller.
All four artists will appear on stage together to play acoustic versions of their hits as well as collaborate with each other to create an amazing evening of music
according to the Performing Arts Web site.
All four are highly accomplished musicians. Harris is a 12-time Grammy Award-winning artist whose music has been featured in films, such as Brokeback Mountain and O Brother, Where Art Thou. Griffin and Colvin are both singer-songwriters who are known for their extensive careers; Griffin for working with artists such as Jessica Simpson and the Dixie Chicks, and Colvin for her mid-'90s hit, Sunny Came Home. Miller is a singer-songwriter as well as an Ohio native, who also moonlights as a producer.
Tickets are $25 to $55 and are still available.
