Ohio takes second MAC loss to Bowling Green

Bowling Green was looking for redemption, and they got it.

Last season, the Bobcats became the first team in the past two seasons to win at Anderson Arena when they upset the then nationally-ranked Falcons.

Saturday's visit to Bowling Green did not turn out so pleasant for Ohio, as it fell 60-45.

The first half was back-and-forth between the two teams, with neither taking more than a five point lead, but the Falcons came into the second half with an offensive surge.

The Bobcats went through nine lead changes with the Falcons until they lost their final lead with 14:56 left in the second half. Bowling Green went on a 6-0 run in the next two minutes and just kept scoring. Ohio was outscored 32-22 in the second half and never held more than a one-point lead.

Despite coach Sylvia Crawley wanting to increase the number of free throw opportunities for her team, Bowling Green (13-3, 2-0 MAC) let the Bobcats (7-8, 0-2 MAC) take only nine shots from the line.-
