1. Sleep ' But try being creative: sleep on your roommate's bed or in a common area. Let passers-by know that you're enjoying that slumber.
2. Gloat ' Call, text, IM or Google chat those friends who decided to attend. They'll hate you for it, but you'll feel a lot better.
3. Arts and crafts ' You would still feel productive if you shaded a beautiful picture in that Lion King coloring book under your bed, or if you reupholstered your futon.
4. Go to a better class ' Clearly, you're skipping because the class just isn't intellectually challenging anymore. Fine, head over to a high-level calculus class or a small, discussion-based class and just jump in.
5. Regret it ' Let's be honest, no matter what this newspaper's editors might say, attendance is important. You'll feel guilty the rest of the day.
