9-year-old Nelsonville boy located

Almost 18 hours after he was thought missing, 9-year-old Corey Morris was located and found staying with a friend today.

Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly announced on his Facebook page that Corey Morris has been located after being last seen between 5:30 pm and 6 pm last night. Corey is safe and was staying with a friend, according to the post.

Police say Corey Morris, was last seen at the Nelsonville McDonalds, along Route 33, wearing a camouflage t-shirt, a white and dark blue zip up hoody, blue jeans and white and gray Nike tennis shoes.

Morris is about 4 feet tall and weighs roughly 125 lbs. He has short blonde hair with a bright red across the from bangs area.

Nelsonville Police Department asks that anyone who has information about Morris' location or who has seen the child call 9-1-1 or contact the Nelsonville Police at 740-753-1736.
